This low-maintenance evergreen needs a regular water schedule to ensure the growth of a mature root system. After the mature root system is established, watering is needed occasionally, except during a drought, watering is needed regularly. Pruning is not required. Shear annually to maintain desired shape.
This Pittosporum is very tightly branched, with nodes on each branch much closer together than on other Pittosporum varieties. The result is a nice, dense branching habit, with super glossy green foliage. Retains a nice rounded mound shape with minimal trimming.
Compact Pittosporum makes an excellent low hedge - can also be used as a nice evergreen foreground planting, foundation planting, and looks very nice when mass planted.
